Jain Farm Fresh's Aamrus Review: A frozen dose of happiness

Summer season is here & while the temperature is soaring, one thing that we always look forward to, are the Mangoes! Right? As soon as April begins we tend to check on the availability of the Mangoes in the shops around. During this time we also see banners outside various shops saying “Aamras available”. Yeah, the stock of frozen mango pulp also starts appearing in the shops. I came to know about Jain Farm Fresh Foods Limited’s “Aamrus“. Jain Farm Fresh Foods, name seems familiar isn’t it? Its a subsidiary of Jain Irrigation Systems Limited (JISL), India.

It comes in 2 variants: Alphonso Mango Pulp (Rs. 220/- for 500gms) & Kesar Mango Pulp (Rs. 200/- for 500gms) & 1kg buckets. Jain’s are the largest Mango processors in the world and AamRus is manufactured in a world class facility which is BRC, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001, Kosher and Halal certified. The product undergoes stringent tests including tests for pesticide residues and heavy metals at NABL accredited laboratory before being released to the market.

Good thing about AamRus is that it does not contain any added color, flavor or preservatives and is packed in a food-grade container. I did relished upon the two variants & loved it. Being natural & with no added flavor, color & preservatives, it tasted authentic. A perfect inclusion in the meal I would say.

I was so tempted further that I ended up making Mango Milkshake out of it. As the pulp contained 5% of added sugar, I didn’t felt the need to add any extra sugar. The milkshake turned out to be delicious & creamy. Aamrus is available in Mumbai (Hypercity, Sahakari Bhandar, Wellness Forever & will be coming to Star Bazar, Big Bazaar), Pune, Ahemdabad, Rajkot, Indore and Jalgaon. It will be available shortly in Vadodara, Bhopal, Surat and Jaipur.

To know more about the availability, you can certainly get in touch with them on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
