I love visiting cafes. They are like the attention magnets for me. Whenever I see a cafe, I have to visit it. Good news is that many cafes are opening up in Mumbai & that too pocket-friendly. So yay! I happened to visit this cafe called "The Laughter Chapter Cafe" in Mulund recently.
Its located at a walking distance from Mulund Station West. Its quite an attention seeker by itself. The best landmark to trace this eatery is Mulund College of Commerce (MCC). Its just opposite the lane which goes towards this college. Thanks to its eye catchy graphics which is easily visible while passing by. Wise decision to open a cafe near the college.
The interiors of this cafe are well designed & it shouts on how much efforts have gone into creating a vibrant yet appealing look & feel. The cafe is small but its decor is trendy & the seating arrangements are good enough to accumulate around 15-20 people. This cafe attracts a lot of college crowd and thus I call this place as a "College Friendly" cafe. This joint has become the college katta (adda) for many. Always buzzing with college crowd. Yes it offers free Wi-Fi as well. Now you know!
Their menu mostly offers fast food options like Fries, Garlic Breads, Nachos, Pizzas, Pastas, Maggi, Rice Bowls, Sandwiches, Cold/Hot Beverages & few desserts. Considering it is a veg cafe, its still doing pretty good since the day it was opened. And yes, they serve Jain menu too.
Their Crunchy Oreo Shake is to die for. And make sure to ask for a topping of Ice Cream and Nutella. Pizzas, Rice Bowl are good and comes in decent portions. As compared to the price offerings, their portions are decent.
Few of their delights I tried:
Oreo Crunchy Shake - Oreo never disappoints
Fantabulous 5 Pizza - Crunchy pizza base topped with baby corn, olives, onions, mushrooms & cottage cheese
Loaded Nachos - Crispy Nachos chips topped with cheese sauce & tangy lettuce salad
The Mexican Bowl - A bowl filled with rice, re-fried beans, salsa sauce & nachos garnished with sour cream
This cafe tends to be mostly occupied during evenings on weekdays & on Saturday's. Since their target audience is mostly college students, this cafe remains closed on Sundays. All in all its a good food experience and not being heavy on the pocket is what this place is all about. And when such cafes are offering options like home delivery within nearby distance & takeaways then they have to be given brownie points.
